INTERCAM is a language school which was set up in Pitres, La Alpujarra, South from Sierra Nevada more than 20 years ago. At Intercam we emphasize learning by means of practical application and in particular, through spoken language.

Instructors
The Intercam instructors are qualified with experience of language teaching.
They hold university degrees with post-graduate qualifications. Their experience is wide and varied and includes having helped both adults and children to learn languages, in Spain and in other countries.
Intercam School of Languages uses the PsL System of language teaching developed by Crossroads Japan Ltd.
Methodology
Intercam is the realization of a language learning method based on language practice. We don’t teach languages, we help people develop the language skills they need to express themselves in a language other than their native one.
Attentive and comprehensive listening, building communication structures, correct reading and pronunciation, and correct writing.
Our classes are hands-on sessions on these skills. What we offer you is a training to develop the ability to express yourself in a language, which is different from your usual one. A toolkit with which you will be able to learn, in this order, to listen, speak, read and write.
At Intercam School of Languages we emphasize learning the language in a natural way as an instrument of communication between people.
The main feature of our method is giving priority to spoken language. We help you learn languages in a practical, active and motivating way.
Acquiring a new language is a long process and learning will depend, in large part, on your motivation, your ability and your perseverance. We try to adapt the classes not only to the level, but to the pace of each person. The teaching material is designed to be delivered gradually to the students.

Intercam gives you the possibility of solving the need to be able to speak English, since today it is essential to speak English in any field of study or work.

We offer Spanish courses for foreigners. As it is a practical method, immediate use is guaranteed from day one.

Intercam also offers spoken Japanese courses for people interested in the Japanese language and/or Japanese culture (martial arts, manga, anime…).
FACE TO FACE COURSES
Intercam is basically a way of learning, so our classes don’t have to be tied to a particular location. At present, regular classes continue to be held in Pitres (La Alpujarra) as it is our place of residence, as well as intensive weekend or 5-day courses with accommodation in hotels or rural houses in the area.
ON-LINE VIDEO CLASSES
Some of our students prefer online classes. They are one-to-one classes, usually one hour long, which you can participate in living anywhere in the world and we adapt to a large extent to your availability of schedules.
ISL offers regular courses, both face-to-face and online, for children and adults (either individually or in groups), at least from one hour a week; or, if you prefer, intensive courses.

EXTRA ACTIVITIES
Many of the people who learn at Intercam have participated and continue to participate in activities that are usually carried out in this region such as hiking, mountain biking, running, flamenco or aikido, etc.; at the same time they learn a language.
